Fixing Capitalism

Adam Cormier was an activist filmmaker based in Vancouver. His initial project, Fixing Capitalism, started out as a film about progressive and sustainable business. This blog was set up to follow Adam's struggle as he fought to get his film made and keep his dreams alive. For a whole bunch of reasons, the film failed to see production. This blog is now about the lessons Adam learned while failing as a filmmaker, his continued creative efforts, and whatever else comes to mind

Fixing Capitalism

Hello everyone body, welcome to my blog!

My name is Adam Cormier, I am from Corner Brook, Newfoundland but now live in Vancouver. I am a first time filmmaker trying to change the world by 'fixing' capitalism. This blog will follow my journey as I struggle to get my first film made and get it out into the world. By reading this blog you'll get the inside track on the filmmaking progress and also get to watch as the world slowly grinds my dreams into the dirt!

The film I'm going to make is called Fixing Capitalism. It is about capitalism (what it is, where it came from) and about the business people working to make capitalism better, so that it heals the planet rather then slowly kill it. You see, there are a lot of business people out there who are reallllly trying hard to be progressive and responsible, they have found a new way to make profit. The film is about the upcoming battle between this new way and the old way.

It's rather complicated really but you can read all about it and watch some video at our website: www.fixingcapitalism.ca

The film is still in development but I have enough money to take the next three months of my life and ONLY work on the film.

I'll be back soon with updates on how we are doing.

Giv'er

Adam
